Len Eagleburger: the author Home 1961 Links of Interest
Author and native Ozarkian Len Eagleburger is the great-great grandson of Pvt. William Gracen Cooper, who served in Company C of the 10th from 1862-1863. He is a member of the
Civil War Preservation Trust, Phelps Camp #66 of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (Springfield-Wilson's Creek MO.), the Wilson's Creek National Battlefield Foundation, the Civil War Round Table of the Ozarks (life-member) and the Greene County, Missouri Historical Society. He is also a life member of Disabled American Veterans
drafted and serving in the US Army in Air Defense during the Viet Nam War Era. He is retired from the Motion Picture Industry in Springfield and served as an officer in Local #447 of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
He served as a delegate to the Springfield Labor Council and the Ozarks Labor
Historical Society with both being instrumental in the formation of the Ozarks
Labor Archives at Missouri State University. He is an alumnus of Southwest Missouri State University (Missouri State University) receiving a double major BS degree in General Business and Finance in 1981. He is active in Democratic Politics in Greene County serving as the party's Central Committeeman for Ward 6 for several years. He is the proud father of Stacey Michelle (Eagleburger) Annis and
grandfather of Michaela Faith and Joslyn Hope Annis. He has
strong German roots through his ancestors who settled in the Ozarks in the late
1800's and early 1900's in several counties in southwest Missouri. His paternal
ancestry came from Switzerland in the 1700's, while his maternal came from
Germany in the 1800's.
